Tactician’s Superbrawl: Teams, Dates and Format
Back in August we announced Tactician’s Superbrawl, a 4v4 team tournament running November 6 to 8 for Tier 2 players across AMER, APAC and EMEA. Captains qualify through the ladder, draft three teammates, and all four members of the winning team earn a spot in Set 19’s Tactician’s Trials 1. You can find the full announcement here.
The dates are getting close, so here’s everything you need to know to get your team on the board.
Another way in: Sub-regional Qualifiers
The snapshot isn’t the only road to Superbrawl. Thirteen sub-regions are running their own qualifiers, and each winner earns a Round 1 bye, skipping Friday’s opening round to start straight in Round 2.
- AMER: NA, BR, LATAM
- APAC: VN, KR, TW, TH
- EMEA: FR, DE, ES, PL, TR, UK
Some have already crowned their winners and others are still being played, so keep an eye on CompeteTFT on X for results.
How the rest of the spots are decided
Every region has 96 teams: 64 start in Round 1 and 32 start with a bye in Round 2. Outside the sub-regional winners, every spot comes from the Superbrawl Snapshot. When it’s taken, you land in one of three categories:
- Captain (Round 1 bye): you draft your team and start in Round 2.
- Captain: you draft your team and start in Round 1.
- Eligible Player: you’re in the pool that captains draft from.
If you’d rather be drafted than lead, you can decline your Captain invite and join the pool as an Eligible Player. TPC players go straight into the pool, and each team can draft a maximum of two.
Team Formation Schedule
All times are local to each region: PT for AMER / SGT for APAC / CET for EMEA.
- Sunday, November 1, 12:00 PM: Sign-ups close
- Monday, November 2, 12:00 PM: Superbrawl Snapshot
- Tuesday, November 3, 11:59 PM: Captain confirmation deadline. Captains confirm on the regional Tier 2 Discord server. Replacement captains are assigned
- Wednesday, November 4, 11:59 PM: Replacement captain confirmation deadline. Captains confirm on the regional Tier 2 Discord server.
- Thursday, November 5, 12:00 PM: Roster lock. Every team must have its four players confirmed by this point.
If you end up as a Captain, those three days between the snapshot and roster lock are your whole draft. Start scouting now (hopefully you have an augment for that).
Format
Superbrawl runs over three days, and once your team is registered, you’re expected to play all three if you keep advancing.
Every match is a Best-of-3 between two teams sharing one lobby. Each game, players earn points by placement, from 8 for first down to 1 for eighth, and the team with the most combined points takes the game. Points reset after every game, so a rough opener doesn’t follow you into the next one. In the event both teams have the same number of points, the team that earned first place in the game takes the win.
- Friday, November 6
- Round 1: 64 teams play 32 matches. Winners advance.
- Round 2: The 32 Round 1 winners meet the 32 teams with byes. 32 advance to Day 2
- Saturday, November 7
- Round 3: 32 teams down to 16.
- Round 4: 16 down to 8.
- Quarterfinals: 8 down to 4.
- Sunday, November 8
- Semifinals: 4 down to 2.
- Grand Final: Best-of-5 for the title. Both finalists qualify for Week 2 of Set 19 Tactician’s Trials 1.
Prize Pool

The top two teams also qualify for Set 19 Tactician’s Trials 1. TPC players can’t take that qualification: if one is on a finalist team, their spot goes back to the Trials Snapshot for their server shard.
