TFT Esports Updates in K.O. Coliseum and Beyond

Get ready for big changes coming to competitive TFT!

Welcome to K.O. Coliseum! Along with this explosive new set, we’re also excited to introduce a brand new era of TFT competitive play. We've got big updates across the board—from the all-new TFT Pro Circuit (TPC) to revamped Trials and Cups, and our biggest event of the year, the Paris Open.

Let’s break down everything coming to TFT Esports this set and how you can get involved, watch, or even compete.

Introducing the TFT Pro Circuit (TPC)

The TFT Pro Circuit is our new Tier 1 tournament series, built to provide consistent competitive opportunities at the highest level for the very best players from around the world. Each of the four regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC, and CN) will put forth their top 32 players who earned their spot based on their performance in Cyber City as well as their historical achievements.

So, how does it work?

  • Throughout the set, players will compete in three TPC events, starting August 29.

  • Every pro earns Pro Points based on performance, determining how they start in the Regional Finals:

    • The top 12 start in Weekend 2 (and lock in a spot for the next Pro Circuit)

    • The remaining 20 start in Weekend 1 alongside 36 up-and-coming contenders from the Ladder and Tactician’s Cups.

    • Top 32 from Regional Finals move on to the next set's TPC.

  • For more information on the TPC format, check out our previous video below:

Whether you're watching or climbing, the TPC is TFT’s most competitive path yet. The first TPC event kicks off on August 29—don’t miss the debut!

New Online Esports Hub

Launching August 20, we’re introducing a brand-new website that’ll be your go-to destination for all things TPC and the Paris Open!

The new website will include information about:

  • TPC competitor status

  • TPC overall standings

  • Upcoming events by region

We’re working to expand the website to become your new home for broader TFT esports updates. Between the new website and @CompeteTFT on X, we want to make sure you’ll always be up-to-date on everything that’s coming up for TFT Esports.

Reshaping Tier 2 Regional Events

With Pro Circuit players no longer participating in Trials or Cups, Tier 2 could be your opportunity to enter the competitive scene and start locking in your own tournament wins.

For players looking into competing through the Tier 2 path, we’re updating the journey to the Regional Finals (formerly Golden Spatula). Instead of collecting Qualifier Points across the whole set, now the top 10 players from each Cup will automatically qualify. To match this change, there will be 2 Cups instead of 3, raising the stakes for each event.

Prefer the ladder grind? That path’s still open—top-ranked players can still qualify through ladder performance as well.

On-Demand Tournaments

We've been looking at ways to make Tier 2 competitions accessible to more players. In K.O. Coliseum, we’ll be testing a brand new out-of-client tournament experience, featuring:

  • No rank requirement to participate

  • Smaller, 24-player pop-up tournaments

  • Play between 2-5 games and the top players will have their results posted on an overall Leaderboard

  • Didn’t do well? Queue again! Unlimited tries while the queue’s open

  • Play multiple times per day, all weekend long

These events will run out-of-client using a new tournament platform. The early version will be simple, but we’ll be building future versions with your feedback—like possibly skipping custom lobbies in the future for seamless queue pops similar to the ranked experience.

We’re starting with a test run in the Americas region this set—but plan to roll out globally in the near future. We’re also exploring ways to increase stakes and rewards, including making future iterations a paid entry event. Stay tuned for more updates as we begin the testing phase!

TFT Paris Open

Get ready for the biggest TFT event of the year! The Paris Open takes place December 12-14  at Porte de Versailles in Paris, France. The open-bracket main event features 768 player slots—a 50% increase from last year’s event.

Whether you’re a competitor or a fan, there’s something for everyone:

  • TFT side events + casual play zones

  • An epic Artist Alley celebrating community creators

  • Dev panels + co-streamer meet-and-greets

  • A 4v4 competition for players starting on Day 2 with its own prize pool

If you’re interested in being part of the Artist Alley on-site at the TFT Paris Open, fill out our interest form!

Competitor and Spectator Pass Information

  • Competitor passes will go on sale starting September 8 (pre-sale) through the new esports website

  • Full pricing and pre-sale info will be available by August 20

K.O. Coliseum is a bold new step forward for TFT Esports, and we can’t wait for you to experience it—whether you’re climbing the ladder, qualifying for regionals, or watching the best duke it out at the top.

Thanks for being part of the journey so far and we look forward to hearing what you think about the changes in K.O. Coliseum and beyond!
