Teamfight Tactics patch 18.3
Buff struggling rerollers, squash bugs (not you Kha'Zix), and Enchant the Wilds!
18.3 is a medium-sized patch focused on giving new life to comps that may have appeared during PBE but haven't been found in the Wilds since—I'm looking at you Wolf Bros. Past balance, we've got a ton of bug fixes for this patch, split into two categories—gameplay, where we finally found those missing PvE fights, and stability/performance, where we added a fix to the Augment UI that could result in selecting an incorrect Augment. Oh, and we also have a few Wisp nerfs to the must-buys and buffs for our often-skipped Combat Augments. Let's get into it!

TRAITS
As a splash with powerful units, Blossom (3) provides too much value for a few over-performing Wisps in particular. This change may look like a big nerf, cause there are a lot of lines, but the reality of gameplay here is that you'll typically only be impacted by 2-5 of these Wisp nerfs throughout a game in most cases.
As a high-stakes trait without the potential to be griefed, we released Coven with cashout generation that was more conservative than past high-stakes traits. We're increasing Loss Essence generation across most breakpoints here to bring Coven out of the dark.
Hunter, Defender, Invoker, and even Inferno nerfs are to the highest breakpoint of the traits, where powerful Emblems allow for too much value. We have a few more Emblem specific nerfs later on, but so as to not make the max breakpoints, nor the Emblems, useless, we've split the nerfs into two smaller parts.

UNITS: TIER 1
It's about time for Karma to get what she deserves: a buff across all star levels, but especially three-star, where she's yet to be seen as a mid-game reroll carry.
Unlike Karma, Ornn has been able to access Artifacts too easily with optimal set-ups. We're slowing three-star Ornn down, since he's been able to print these Artifacts for Solar comps to spike in the late game, while making sure our two-star Ornns ornn't griefed.
As a reroll carry, Veigar has found success with a few openers that can shore up his weak early game. Some of these set-ups lead to incredibly powerful Veigar carries that feel almost impossible to overcome, but if you want to add Veigar in for his traits, he's all but a dead unit. We're trimming a bit out of his power ceiling, so Veigar can be less of a dead unit when not played as the centerpiece of a comp. There's certainly three to eight potential short jokes for this context paragraph, but I feel like it's about time we stood above that. #shortkings(and queens)
- Karma Explosion Damage: 120/180/270/460 AP ⇒ 125/185/300/515 AP

UNITS: TIER 2
Alistar hasn't been much more than a big health bar when three-starred. He's getting a lot more damage in his ability and a more powerful heal to have this Elder bull feel like a younger pup.
Speaking of pups, the Wolf Bros are back to be your new favorite Level 6 reroll comp to play. Just remember to sacrifice an Attack Fighter and not a Tank for the Blackthorn Hex, and since we haven't seen Warwick in a while, be sure to grab a Titan's Resolve and Spear of Shojin, cause mana regen = ramping Attack Speed. As for Murkwolf, positioning, positioning, positioning… for you and your opponent.
Gromp is also getting a buff that should be more impactful to the AD form, but a nice buff to AP as well. Gromp and Murkwolf being buffed in the same patch may seem scary, since Riftbeast is not too far off, but most Riftbeast comps do not run both of these Units, especially as carries. Maybe that can change though?
- Alistar Heal: 200/260/320 AP ⇒ 230/300/400 AP
- Alistar Ability Damage: 100/150/225 AP ⇒ 180/270/420 AP
- Gromp AP Form Ability DoT: 160/240/360 AP ⇒ 175/265/410 AP
- Gromp AD Form Attack Speed: 0.7 ⇒ 0.75
- Gromp AD Form Base AD: 45 ⇒ 50
- Murkwolf Empowered Attack Damage: 60/90/135 AD ⇒ 65/100/160 AD
- Warwick Ability Damage: 215/325/500 AD ⇒ 230/345/535 AD
- Warwick Ability Healing: 20% ⇒ 25%
UNITS: TIER 3
With 6 Defender being nerfed, which was a huge source of stall power for Cassiopeia comps, we can put some power into Cassiopeia and Rammus directly so they can slither/roll into more than just 6 Defender comps.
Even in his prime, AP flex, tanky Blackthorn sacrifice, two-star Malphite era, Azir was never the go-to carry.
- Azir Ability Damage: 43/65/103 ⇒ 46/69/110
- Cassiopeia Ability Damage: 400/600/950 ⇒ 425/630/1020
- Rammus Shield: 350/450/550 ⇒ 400/550/725
UNITS: TIER 4
Lillia's only go-to comps, Fae (4) + Cassiopeia Defender, aren't typically seen past 4th place, leaving this 4-cost tank without a home. With a solid buff to her healing, she may be able to survive enough for a second cast, sleeping more foes, and making her way into more comps as a utility tank.
Nidalee's AD form was gaining more Armor penetration than intended, but even with that fixed, she's still slightly over the line, so we've got a small nerf to the AD scaling on her swipe. And while AD Nidalee is our strongest 4-cost at the moment, AP Nidalee is rarely itemized, so we're giving her third attack, her snipe at the farthest enemy with the least items, a pointy buff.
- Lillia Heal: 325/475 AP ⇒ 350/525 AP
- Nidalee: Fixed a bug where Nidalee was gaining 60% Armor Penetration instead of 40% Armor Penetration
- Nidalee AD form Ability Armor Penetration: 40% ⇒ 60% (no functional change)
- Nidalee AD form Ability Damage: 225/340 AD ⇒ 210/315 AD
- Nidalee AP Form Third Attack Damage: 300/450 AP ⇒ 330/500 AP
UNITS: TIER 5
Even when we tried to incentivize itemizing Taric last patch, he was still often skipped over by our premiere 4-cost tanks (or Maokai). We're polishing the Emerald Aspect's heal to make a bit of AP feel good on him, while taking away some of his passive team-wide shielding (which is a flat value unaffected by items).
- Lux Solar Lux Bonus Damage per 3-star: 12% ⇒ 15%
- Taric Passive Shield Base Value: 100/225 ⇒ 75/150
- Taric Heal: 250/375 AP ⇒ 275/450 AP
ARTIFACTS
Draven with the Collector is absolutely terrifying, and it still will be, just a tiny bit less. But past Draven (and Aphelios), the Collector provides a lot of econ and combat power, making it one of the better Artifacts on the set, especially in the right hands.
Unlike The Collector, Statikk Shiv has yet to find consistent users apart from Kayle. A bit more Ability Power should make this item more appealing even in situations where it's dropped too late in the game to field Kayle.
- The Collector AD: 40% ⇒ 35%
- Eternal Pact Mana on Tank Ability Cast: 15 ⇒ 10
- Statikk Shiv Base Ability Power: 15% ⇒ 25%
EMBLEMS
Smaller nerfs here (and one buff) as the traits that are enabled by our over-performing Emblems are also getting nerfed.
- Brawler Emblem Damage: 2% max HP ⇒ 2.5% max HP
- Hunter Emblem AD Per Takedown: 18% ⇒ 15%
- Invoker Emblem Mana Regen: 3 ⇒ 2
- Juggernaut Emblem Mana Restore on Death: 15 ⇒ 10
AUGMENTS
We've got a lot of Augment changes here, but for the most part they are buffs to combat Augments, which have been deprioritized with the emphasis on econ Augments this set.
One combat/Item Augment that was greatly buffed through our Hand of Justice buff last patch, Retribution, is getting a nerf to keep things feeling just with other combat Augments.
One last critical callout is that we renamed the empowered hex in the It's Me Baby Augment to be called the Championship hex instead of the Spotlight hex. Keep it up champ.
- Bonus Gift Renamed Bonus Gifts
- Blossom's Call Minimum Wisp Cost to see 4-cost By Stage: 15/6/4/0g ⇒ 15/5/3/0g
- Blossom's Call Minimum Wisp Cost to see 4-cost By Stage: X/15/8/5/0 ⇒ X/15/8/4/0
- Challenger's Grace Buff Duration: 3s ⇒ 4s

- Weight the Worth no longer grants a Tiny Duplicator
WISPS
These Wisps are too spirited, too much value, too wispy, too thingamajigy.
- Stat Boosters Armor and MR Boost: 10 ⇒ 8
- Stat Boosters Attack Speed Boost: 8% ⇒ 6%
- Blood and Iron Cost: 3g ⇒ 4g
- Combust Explosion Damage: 18% ⇒ 15%
- Mana-Rich Soil Mana Reduction: 18% ⇒ 15%
- Thingamajig Wisps Less likely to grant Mana Regen Boosters.

BUG FIXES
- Worth The Wait can no longer give the same Champion to multiple players
- Craftable and uncraftable emblems can now be reforged into each other
- Getting the Golden Egg from Call to Chaos with a full bench no longer fails to grant the egg
- Calculated Loss no longer works on PVE rounds
- Money Monsoon no longer procs on Carousel rounds
- Future Focused now grants its rewards on 2-7 instead of 3-1
- Riftbeast selector can now be used in arrival phase with Omega Riftbeast

- Rengar's Rival "gold granted" tooltip updates correctly with the Wisp ‘Heated Rivalry'.
- Uncraftable items no longer have extra blank space underneath the tooltip
- Pandora's Bench and Expedition no longer allow units in their hexes pending transformation to be starred up
- Fixed an issue where Pandora's Bench would take/return double the units from the available champion pool. For example if you roll a two-star Sett into a two-star Aphelios, instead of being +3/-3 copies moving in the pool it would be +6 and then -6. As long as you kept rolling the pool would fix itself and return to normal, but it would temporarily alter pool contents.
- Random Item Component icon in Double Up Gift Armory no longer displays Rabadon's Deathcap
- Unit death animations no longer end abruptly after finishing the combat round
- Unit obtained from the Carousel no longer occasionally disappears after transitioning out of the Carousel Round
- Elderwood Lifeblossom Summon can no longer be benched by a Bot during Planning Phase
- PvE monsters will now spawn correctly
- Fixed a Double Up issue where Random Item Component icon displayed a Rabadon's Deathcap, which is not a random nor an Item Component.
- Fixed an Issue where 3-star Ashe was broken after being Polymorphed
- Champion names no longer display with an incorrect linebreak when dragging items onto them
- Removed extra space around the shop lock tooltip
- Fixed an issue where a Unit obtained from the Carousel would rarely disappear after coming back from Carousel round. Where did they go?
- Fixed an issue where purchase VO would be played when starring up a Champion during Planning Phase
- Fixed an issue where a bot could somehow bench their Lifeblossom Elderwood summon during Planning Phase.
- Fixed an issue where Enemy Units' HP bars had a small chance to appear above Friendly Units during Combat
- Blackthorn Trait description displays incorrect stats at level 6 and does not say it sacrifices the unit. It does. But you get a lot of stats.
- Finally found out the source of an issue where PvE units were entirely missing from a PvE round and fixed it. Thanks for the reports on this one, it was tricky to hunt down with how sporadic it was.
PERFORMANCE/STABILITY BUG FIXES
- Giant's Belt icon no longer renders at low resolution when equipped
- Fixed an issue where the minimize UI button can void selected Augment when clicked right after the Augment selection phase
- Fixed an issue where the Chat Box would collapse upon opening and clicking the scroll bar
- Fixed a crash related to native graphics API, which affected for roughly 1% of TFT active players
- MOBILE: Fixed an issue where the Main Menu music continued to play when signout out and going back to the title screen
- Fixed an issue where the Primal Urge mission provided inconsistent resulting towards progress
- MOBILE: Units on the bench can now be dragged as normal when the Augment Armory is open on certain devices that had issues before

- Fixed an issue where certain Armories could overlap with the Shop after reconnecting back to a match
- Fixed an issue where Units sold by dragging and dropping them above the XP/Reroll UI would sometimes fail to be sold.
- Fixed an issue where the player would sometimes fail to return to their respective board after disconnecting and then reconnecting to a game
- Fixed an issue with Champion Death animations ending abruplty after finishing a combat round
