FORMAT EXPLAINER

The Tactician’s Cups are 3-day tournaments where 128 players battle it out for a spot in the EMEA Golden Spatula, valuable Qualifier Points, and a juicy prize pool.

On Day 1, the 128 tacticians will face off in six rounds, with a Swiss System reseed after every two games. After those six rounds, the field will be narrowed down to 64 players.

Day 2 will follow the same format as Day 1, and at the end of the day, the Top 32 players will move on to Day 3.

Day 3 is where things get spicy! Players will play with Snake Seeding, meaning the lobby order changes after every two games. The day will have 3 stages:

1. The 32 tacticians will play 5 games with Snake Reseed between every 2 games.

2. After that, the Top 16 players will play 1 more game without a point reset.

3. Finally, the Top 8 tacticians will play a last game without a point reset. The player with the most points at the end of Stage 3 wins the tournament.
