Changes to RP Prices in League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics in the Philippines

As part of the transition of Riot taking over publishing of League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics (TFT) in Southeast Asia, we are evaluating global pricing to ensure consistent pricing structures across the region. We understand RP and in-game content pricing differed across Garena regions. So we are making some changes to pricing to account for these regional discrepancies.

We will be updating local RP prices more in the future to account for regional differences and macroeconomic factors. We’ll make sure to let you know in advance of the changes. In the meantime, here are some of the changes to RP prices you can expect in the short term.

What is changing and what does it mean for prices in the Philippines?

To ensure consistent pricing structures across the region, prices for RP in the Philippines will be increased so that prices reach parity across all regions. Currently, the cost for RP is different across the region. Following these changes, players in the Philippines can expect to purchase RP at a similar cost to most players elsewhere in Southeast Asia

These changes will kick in from 6 January 2023. These changes mean RP pricing for League of Legends and TFT in the Philippines will see a +19% average price increase. These price changes may take up to a few days to appear.

How does this affect my existing items and the currency in my account?

Existing items and RP in your account will not be affected as this change only applies to the price of RP in future.

These new RP prices will take effect for any new RP purchases made after the changes are live from 6 January 2023 onwards.

Does this change affect the price of in-game items, such as skins, champions etc?

No, this change does not affect the price of in-game items. However, the cost to purchase RP will see a +19% average price increase.

Are refunds affected by this price structure change?

The refund policy remains unchanged for our games, even with this pricing structure adjustment. However, you will be refunded the same amount that you originally paid.
