Teamfight Tactics patch 14.19 notes
14.19 brings the Dawn of Heroes Revival to a queue near you! But that’s not all, we’ve got changes for live to lessen the sting of Honeymancy, sweeten Sugarcraft, and make the Eldritch Summon a thing to be feared.
Wake up dear reader, the Dawn of Heroes is having a Revival.
You read that right—14.19 brings Dawn of Heroes with an updated Ranked Revival Ladder, all new Augments, and your favorite traits and champs from the mid-set. Along with the Revival comes a host of new balance changes and a new Pass to embark upon!
14.19 is also a special patch cause we’re introducing our newest TFT author to the team. Katie “Riot Ukime” Guo will take some of our future patch notes, but Prism fans, don’t stress; I’ll still be around.

DAWN OF HEROES REVIVAL
The mid-set for our fifth set, Dawn of Heroes, changed a lot for TFT. It brought Radiant Items into the game, introduced the Divine Blessing (which later inspired a few Portals), added the Tome of Traits (recently closed), and added a bunch of new Champions like Akshan! If you’re excited to relive memories from 3 years ago (yikes, what is time?) or boldly explore a new-to-you set with Sentinels, the Forgotten, and my favorite Hellion, then hop right in with a newly updated Dawn of Heroes Revival from September 25th, 4:30 PM PT - Nov 4th, 4:30 PM PT!
The Dawn of Heroes Revival launches with a new Ranked Revival Ladder that tracks your progression with your playstyle and skill in mind. Climb through the Ladder to earn rewards! To learn more about the Revival and the new Ranked Ladder, check out our first-ever Dev Double Up here!
MAGIC N’ MAYHEM PASS CHAPTER II
LARGE CHANGES
Large, like my hype for the Dawn of Heroes Revival!
TRAITS
As a vertical, Faerie has been overperforming fairly often thanks to the powerful synergy of the Queenguard’s Armor with the Healing from the Queen and the synergy between Rakan and fashionable attire. Trimming some power off the Armor's end should leave the trait in a better spot. We also see this as a direct nerf to Rakan, so we’ll hold off on another nerf for him.
Eldritch has struggled across all but its final chase trait. We’re shipping considerable buffs, mainly focused on how the trait scales into the late game, which should both help our vertical Eldritch enjoyers and open up potential to haunt your enemy’s end-game boards with an eerie tinge of Eldritch 3.
We’ve got a few changes to the Faerie/Warrior space. Currently, only one Warrior carry, Katarina, is as battle-hungry as the trait name implies. So we’re buffing the trait primarily at Warrior 4 while nerfing Katarina (later on) and updating Gwen’s dash logic to have her 1v200ing like a true pastry-powered Warrior, the likes of which would make even Pantheon jealous.
- Faerie Queenguard’s Armor Healing/Shielding power: 35% ⇒ 25%
- Faerie Queenguard’s Armor Healing from Queen’s Damage: 15% ⇒ 12%
- Eldritch 3 Tainted Golem AD: 60 ⇒ 65
- Eldritch 3 Tainted Golem Ability damage: 250% AP ⇒ 240% AP
- Eldritch 3 Tainted Golem Stage scaling HP multiplier: 0.9/1/1.05/1.1/1.5x ⇒ 1/1.05/1.1/1.4/1.5x
- Eldritch 5 Dark Monolith Stage scaling HP multiplier: 0.65/0.85/1.2/1.45/1.55x ⇒ 0.7/0.9/1.25/1.6/1.75x
- Eldritch 7 Many-Eyed Beast Summon ability damage: 340% AP ⇒ 375% AP
- Eldritch 7 Many-Eyed Beast Stage scaling HP multiplier: 0.6/0.75/0.9/1.15/1.3x ⇒ 0.6/0.75/0.95/1.3/1.45x
- Frost AP/AD: 16/35/50/80 ⇒ 16/35/50/90
- Frost soldier explosion damage: 600-800 ⇒ 500-700
- Honeymancy % Damage dealt per bee: 6/8/15% ⇒ 5/8/16%
- Honeymancy % Damage taken per bee: 3/4/10% ⇒ 3/4/8%
- Warrior Damage Amp: 10/18/25% ⇒ 10/20/25%
- Warrior Omnivamp: 10/18/25% ⇒ 10/20/25%
UNITS: TIER 1
Every 1-cost should have a purpose, whether that’s to hold items for later carries or be your four-star superstar with Worth the Wait (Augment).
- Seraphine Ability damage: 220/330/495% AP ⇒ 240/360/540% AP
- Soraka Mana: 20/60 ⇒ 10/50
UNITS: TIER 2
Even 2-starred on Stage 2, Akali fails to assassinate anyone. She somehow finds her way into the enemy backline, tickles them, granting them more Mana, and then dies. We’re buffing her AD ratio here so she’ll scale better with star levels, but also AD items.
- Akali Ability Kunai damage: 140% AD + 30/45/70% AP ⇒ 150% AD + 30/45/70% AP
UNITS: TIER 3
Ezreal’s Blaster comp has blasted off (again?). With the extensive damage amp he gets from his trait, we’re hitting his AD with a slight bump, which should do more numbers to his power ceiling when he gets that 3-item, 4 Blaster build than you’d expect.
Hecarim’s rework left him bucking around like a wild Mustang (or Brumby for my Australian readers). We’re happy with him being a viable carry with a unique reset and charge fantasy, but we’re taking him back into the stables until his power level…stable-izes.
Sugarcraft Jinx isn’t in the sweetest spot right now. A buff to her AD ratio will have her ripping through tanks like they’re fluffy, perfectly proofed croissants.
- Ezreal AD: 60 ⇒ 55
- Hecarim Ability cleave damage: 140/140/145% AD ⇒ 125/125/130% AD
- Jinx Ability damage: 100% AD + 16/24/36% AP ⇒ 110% AD + 16/24/36% AP
- Katarina Ability damage: 175/260/420% AP ⇒ 165/245/395% AP
UNITS: TIER 4
Gwen’s getting her Diplôme de Pâtisserie (that’s French for a diploma from a fancy culinary institute), which in TFT will allow her to prioritize hitting way more enemies per snip… cause that’s what they teach you at culinary school, no? Anyway, she will be doing a lot more total damage after this update, so we’re preemptively shipping a nerf to prevent her from being too cooked, too crisp, too buttery smooth upon release.
- Gwen’s Ability Dash logic updated: She now dashes to the hex that would hit the most total targets (aimed at her current target), tie-breaking to the hex furthest from the most enemies.
- Gwen Ability small snip damage: 45/70/210% AP ⇒ 40/60/180% AP
If her current target is out of her base dash range of three hexes, she will now dash the shortest distance to reach them rather than gaining infinite dash range.
UNITS: TIER 5
Briar’s soared to the top of the 5-costs thanks to a new bug that makes her unstoppable (immune to CC). We’re fixing the bug in the hopes that she ends up in a perfectly vicious state of balance.
- [BUGFIX] Briar: Briar is no longer unstoppable while in her frenzied form
- Norra Mana buff: 30/90 ⇒ 30/80
AUGMENTS
Flexible was released as a newly Prismatic and relatively balanced Augment, but it had a tricky buff on away boards where it wasn’t providing the bonus health as intended. We’re fixing that bug, but shipping a compensation nerf to prevent Flexible from making you too Flexible—hypermobility is a thing 8/.
We’ve brought back Item Ladder after fixing a bug linked to the Augment that forced our hand on disabling it.
Pillar of Flames sputtered out in a dimly lit place upon release. Our B-patch following up on 14.18 wasn’t enough to get it into a competitive place, but we erred on the side of caution. We’re now turning up the heat on Shen’s Champion Augment in the hopes it can find its place in reroll comps!
Aside from the above, we’re focused on lifting the underperformers that were over-nerfed in our last patch, and nerfing some of our dominant Trait/Champion Augments.
- [BUGFIX] Flexible: now correctly grants health on away boards.
- Flexible Health per emblem: 40 ⇒ 30
- High Horsepower (Lillia) Bonus damage: 240% ⇒ 260%
- Item Ladder has been Re-enabled
- Pillar of Flame (Shen) Ability damage over time: 40/60/95% AP ⇒ 45/70/110% AP
- Royal Guard (Faeries) Queen AP/AD: 1.5% ⇒ 1%
- Spider Queen (Elise) Poison damage: 110% ⇒ 120%
- Winter is Coming (Frost) Health: 200 ⇒ 150
- Winter is Coming (Frost) Attack Speed: 20% ⇒ 15%
- Witchy Wallop (Poppy) Ability damage: 75% ⇒ 80%
- Zap Attack (Blitzcrank) Damage rate: every 4 seconds ⇒ every 5 seconds
SUPPORT ITEM
Moonstone continues to be our best-performing Support Item both due to its power and flexible use.
- Moonstone Renewer Shielding: 60-360 ⇒ 55-325
CHARMS
We’re lowering the amount of emblems in the game overall, as their impact is exceptionally high. Instead of making Emblem-focused Charms more expensive, to the point where they are a dead slot 90% of the time, we’re opting to remove them. That said, we’re keeping Conjure Emblem because a random Emblem is fun… or funny.
With three Charms leaving, we’re adding two new ones! Conjure Support grants a pricey Support Anvil (It’s like buying a Gold Augment no?), while Study Hard gives you a new way to power level if you can manage to hit a few in a row!
- Desperate Plea has been removed
- Conjure Pan has been removed
- Conjure Spatula has been removed
- NEW Conjure Support - 25g - Gain a Support Anvil (Stage 5+)
- NEW Study Hard - 1g - Gain 2 XP for each Study Hard you’ve bought this game (Stage 3/4)
- Tremors Every 8 seconds ⇒ every 10 seconds
- Lightning Strike and Meteor Storm have been Re-enabled
SMALL CHANGES
Small, like the magic of a smile.
TRAITS
Sugarcraft is a bit weaker than we’d want it to be at Sugarcraft (4) and (6), but instead of buffing it at (4) we’re opting to help out its two carries (Gwen and Jinx) that aren’t finding much success. As for here, we’re giving Sugarcraft (6) a bit more HP in hopes that they’ll keep the bakery near my house open longer… or just survive a bit longer in fights.
- Mage (10) AP: 140% ⇒ 200%
- Sugarcraft (6) Sugarcraft Bonus HP: 50 ⇒ 100
UNITS
So many light bumps you’d think we were playing volleyball.
- Twitch Item class updated to Attack Caster.
- Ziggs Ability damage: 200/300/450% AP ⇒ 190/290/435% AP
- Ziggs Ability area damage: 100/150/225% AP ⇒ 95/145/215% AP
- Ahri Ability Foxfire damage: 12/18/27% AP ⇒ 13/20/30% AP
- Nilah Ability damage: 360% AD ⇒ 360/360/380% AD
- Syndra Ability damage: 220/330/495% AP ⇒ 230/345/520% AP
- Syndra Ability adjacent damage: 110/165/245% AP ⇒ 115/170/260% AP
- Veigar Ability damage: 240/330/450% AP ⇒ 240/330/475% AP
- Wukong Passive bonus Armor/MR: 40 ⇒ 45
- Morgana True damage health threshold: 33% ⇒ 25%
ITEMS
You can almost taste that Deathblade tooltip.
- The following items have new flavor text: Deathblade, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Luminous Deathblade, and Rabadon’s Ascended Deathcap
RADIANT ITEMS
- Demonslayer (Giant Slayer) AP/AD: 40 ⇒ 50

- Sunlight Cape (Sunfire Cape) Armor: 20 ⇒ 40
- Willbreaker (Guardbreaker) Damage Amp: 40% ⇒ 50%
BUG FIXES
- Akali now uses her enhanced attacks properly while equipped with Runaan’s Hurricane and Hextech Gunblade.
- Briar is no longer unstoppable while in her frenzied form.
- Pillar of Flame (Shen’s Champion Augment) will now cast at a further range if no targets are in range, instead of casting near/on himself.
- Fixed a bug where Pillar of Flame (Shen’s Champion Augment) would function inconsistently on away boards.
- Yuumi now properly grants Attack Damage instead of Ability Power to AD Casters like Varus and Ezreal.
- Skill-based nerf: Draconic Mastery no longer counts takedowns on PvE rounds.
- Faerie Augments now correctly require the trait to be activated to be shown on 3-2 and 4-2.
- Pillar of Flame (Shen’s Champion Augment) requires Bastion activated to appear on 3-2.
- Fixed a number of bugs around 4-star units
- What the Forge and Anger Issues will no longer transform Tactician’s Shield or Cape.
- Fixed a Stage 5+ Carousel that was incorrectly offering 3 Tactician’s Crowns + 6 other non-Tactician’s items. Now, as before, the only Carousel with Tactician’s items is ALL Tactician’s Items (3 Crowns, 3 Shields, and 3 Capes).
- The Emblem variant for Arcana now counts Tactician’s Cape and Shield twice in addition to Crown.
- Who reported this one: Reforging a unit with all three different Tactician’s Items no longer returns nothing.
- Flexible now correctly grants health on away boards.
- Wukong’s shield duration with the Spin to Win augment is now correctly 2 seconds instead of 0.3 seconds.
- Mordewizard: Mordekaiser with a Mage Emblem is now manalocked for the correct duration.
- Fixed some interactions between Overencumbered and the Polymorph charm.
- Jak’Sho the Protean (Radiant Adaptive Helm) tooltip now correctly indicates it gives 40 bonus AP in the back two rows.
