ARTISTS SHARE THE MAGIC N’ MAYHEM

We also had the opportunity to chat with artists @cinamoncune from North America, @MisaoDraw from Latin America, and @henrymagenta from Brazil about working on this collaborative project!

What inspired you the most when working on this collaboration?

Misao (LATAM): I have always been inspired by things that can be considered "sweet" or "kind”. So when I got Sugarcraft Gwen, I was excited. This piece is something that resonates with my style and the colors that I like to use.

Although I have always been a fan of cool tones, I was challenged because I had to use warm tones instead. Even so, I enjoyed this experience a lot as I really liked the results and it pushed me out of my comfort zone!

HenryMagenta (BR): Trying to merge the specific style of Riot Game's characters to my own specific style!

cinamoncune (NA): Honestly, the first thing that came to mind were the Poro Snax that the Dragon Trainers back in Set 7 fed Nomsy. She just looked so happy to be fed!

What was the most fun part of the project?

HenryMagenta (BR): Blending the colors I chose to depict Xerath in my artwork - this is always my favorite part!

cinamoncune (NA): Showing my work in progress and hearing the enthusiasm I received about my piece got me excited and inspired to keep going!

Misao (LATAM): The most fun part for me was when I started playing with the palette as it is usually my favorite when doing an illustration. I focused on making the palette "yummy" and I think I did a good job, haha! :)

What do you love about being part of the Teamfight Tactics and Riot Games artist community?

cinamoncune (NA): It is a little baffling to think that I am even considered to be part of this super creative community? Truly honored to be part of it and love seeing what others create. Thank you for the food!

Misao (LATAM): I don't feel particularly old, but at 28 years of age, I feel that if I'm going to play a game, I want to do it peacefully, so migrating from League of Legends to Teamfight Tactics was something great. My partner inspired me to play it, he is a huge fan of the game. And I love the new set!

The themes of witchcraft, wizardry, and sugarcraft have always compelled me. The fun part is watching how the TFT team always comes up with new themes that can reach out to greater audiences. You can always play something fresh!

HenryMagenta (BR): How the community is so passionate about the characters, that they are always looking forward to new forms of them being depicted - be it cosplays, fanarts, or official skins for the games!

Again, a big thank you to the Teamfight Tactics community, especially those artists who contributed to this project to showcase their own magic into the traits and units of Set 12! If you’re ever inspired to create your own, please feel free to tag us at @TeamfightTactics!
