Magic N’ Mayhem: TFT Esports EMEA Competitive Updates
NEW COMPETITIVE NAMINGS
The competitive structure will remain the same but, starting from Magic N’ Mayhem, some of the names of our tournaments will change
Open Qualifiers: These qualifier tournaments will be now called Tactician Trials.
Golden Spatula Cups: The name of these competitions will be Tactician’s Cups.
Rising Legends Finals: Starting from Set 12, the EMEA Finals will be called EMEA Golden Spatula.
MENA SERVER
In the previous sets, EMEA had 4 competitive servers (EUW, EUNE, RU and TR). Now, with the MENA region now incorporated to this server list, all MENA players will be able to choose this shard for the snapshots and some slots in the wider competitive circuit.
LADDER SNAPSHOTS
Following the same direction as in Inkborn Fables, Snapshots will grant Ranked Ladder Points to the Top 50 players from each server region, which will be useful for the EMEA Golden Spatula.
Then, the Rank Locks after the snapshots will now provide more spots in the Tactician Trials. The 231 top players from each server region (165 from EUW, 40 from EUNE, 14 from TR, 6 from RU and 6 from MENA) will have a spot secured in the qualifier tournament.
For more details, check the TFT Esports EMEA Ruleset.
TACTICIAN TRIALS
Each Tactician’s Cup will have its own Tactician Trials (TT), which will be 2-day tournaments (Saturday and Sunday) with 256 competitive slots. At the end of each TC, the best players will qualify for the Tactician’s Cup.
There won’t be a weighted lottery for the Tactician Trials so, in order to participate, players can get a spot for the tournament through these paths:
Rank Lock: There will be a Rank Lock before the tournament which will provide 64 spots in the Tactician’s Cup to the players with the higher rank in each of the participating server regions.
After they’ve signed up for the competition, the 231 top players from each server region (165 from EUW, 40 from EUNE, 14 from TR, 6 from RU and 6 from MENA) will have a spot secured on the Tactician Trials.
Teamfight Tactics Regional Competitions: The champion of each TRC will secure their spot in the Tactician’s Cup. After that, the remaining 25 spots in the Tactician Trials will be distributed like this:
Top 2-4 (3 spots): Eastern EU, France, Poland, DACH and RoEMEA.
Top 2-3 (2 spots): : Türkiye, Spain, Italy, Northern EU and MENA.
TACTICIAN’S CUP
The Tactician’s Cups (TC) are 3-day tournaments where 128 tacticians compete for a spot in the EMEA Golden Spatula, Qualifier Points and a juicy prize pool.
There will be four paths in order to join this competition:
Previous Tactician’s Cup. The Top 4 tacticians of a previous TC will have a secured spot in the upcoming Cup.
Ranked Ladder. Each Rank Lock will provide 64 spots in the Tactician’s Cup (40 from EUW, 10 from EUNE, 8 from TR, 4 from RU and 4 from MENA).
Tactician Trials. The Top 54 tacticians from the Tactician Trials #1 and the Top 50 from the Tactician Trials #2 and #3 will make it for their respective Tactician’s Cup.
Teamfight Tactics Regional Competitions. The champion or current #1 player of each TRC will secure their spot in the Tactician’s Cup.
EMEA GOLDEN SPATULA
The EMEA Golden Spatula is a 3-day tournament where the best 32 tacticians from EMEA fight to be crowned as the champion of their region.
These tacticians will qualify through four different paths:
TC Winners. The 3 winners of the Tactician’s Cups in Magic N’ Mayhem will join the EMEA Golden Spatula.
Ranked Ladder Point earners. The 14 players with the most Ranked Ladder Points (via Snapshots) will play in the EMEA Golden Spatula (10 from EUW, 1 from EUNE, 1 from TR, 1 from RU and 1 from MENA).
Qualifier Point earners. Little by little, the 14 tacticians with the most Qualifier Points will play in the EMEA Golden Spatula.
Meet at Rift LAN. The tactician crowned as the Meet at Rift LAN Champion will also win a spot in the EMEA Golden Spatula.
