Rebuilding the Path to Pro in TFT Americas
While Riot Sherman has already given you a lot of information about why we are changing, I would like to provide you with more details on our plans for TFT Americas Esports. I am Riot Dreamflare. A few of you might know me already from the TFT EMEA Esports circuit or the Set Championships TFT Tactician’s Crowns, but I am happy to announce that going forward I will also be leading TFT Americas Esport in close collaboration with the local teams in NA, LATAM & Brazil.
With Inkborn Fables, we are going to merge the currently separated circuits of NA, LATAM and Brazil into one conjoined circuit - TFT Americas, which will allow our most competitive players from NA, BR, LATAM servers to compete regularly within the Set with a joint qualification path to TFT Tactican’s Crown and shared access to an increased price pool. Throughout Inkborn Fables, you will have the chance to compete within our three Tactician’s Cups to make sure you qualify into our new TFT Americas Golden Spatula.
While the ladders will serve as a significant qualification mechanism for Tactician Trials and Tactican’s Cups, we will try to offer each sub-region NA, LATAM & Brazil some unique qualification paths, which should feel locally relevant and serve as alternative for those, which just didn’t quite made it into the Ladder Snapshots.
For NA we will partner with established Communities & Events to bring some exciting new tournaments into Inkborn Fables.
For LATAM in 2024, we will continue to work with our existing partner to run our sub-regional Tournament circuit that will qualify players into Tactician’s Trials and Tactician’s Cups.
For Brazil in 2024,we will also continue with our local partner to run the Road to Pro circuit, qualifying players into the Tactician's Trials and Tactician's Cup.
All these changes will align the TFT Americas Circuit with our global plans and make it much easier for players to understand how to get involved, compete and watch.
Talking about watching TFT Americas. Especially in NA, LATAM & Brazil we have seen that the vast majority of our watch audience is consuming our Esports content via their favorite Players & Content Creators. Starting with Inkborn Fables, we want to explore further how our tournaments can be a platform for Players and Content Creators to show-up even more and build up their own brand.
This also means that the Tactican’s Cups, which will qualify into the Golden Spatula will not feature an official traditional broadcast anymore, but rather experiment to put Co-Streams and PoV-Streams into the spotlight. For TFT Americas Golden Spatula our Riot owned broadcast will be back in English, Spanish and Portuguese in addition to your favorite Community Streams.
Last but not least for the 7 Slots Americas got for the TFT Inkborn Fables Worlds, 3 will be given to the top competitors and 1 slot to the player with highest average placement of the Golden Spatula. The remaining 3 slots will be given to the Sub-Regional Player of NA, LATAM & Brazil that accumulated the most points across all official tournaments in Inkborn Fables. Our aim here is to reward our top players but also secure a minimum of sub-regional representation at Worlds.
In the coming days and weeks, you will receive all details on your local TFT channels. Looking forward to seeing new and old heroes embark on the competitive journey of Inkborn Fables!
